My specialties:
I aspire to guide people through their inner turmoil using the strengths they already possess. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma through the use of ART and EMDR treatment modalities. I have a special interest in treating First Responders, Law Enforcement, and Corrections Officers. Having worked as a Corrections Officer in the past, I can relate to those who are currently working or retired in the field. I also have a particular interest in Integrative Mental Health. I use science-backed approaches and knowledge to help provide a clearer route to healing for clients.
I utilize the following modalities to treat symptoms related to trauma, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, men’s issues, self-esteem issues, life changes, and grief/loss:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Integrative Mental Health
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills
-
Accelerated resolution therapy (ART) is a brief, evidence-based psychotherapy that combines elements from several established therapeutic modalities to recondition stressful memories, and reduce physical and emotional reactions to traumatic memories.
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic modality used to treat unresolved traumatic experiences. It is one of the most researched and used methods of treating trauma. EMDR utilizes the adaptive information processing model that uses the body’s natural information-handling system to treat trauma and adverse life experiences.
